Lucille Carlson

Lucille Carlson, 85 of Aurora, IL, formerly of Plano, IL. passed away on Sunday August 27, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. Lucille was born on July 21, 1932 in Owensboro, KY and is survived by her children; Wayne (Dawn) Howard; Eddie Howard; Debbie Kruger; Pam Howard-Schultz; Donna (Bryan) Herzog and Jeff (Amy) Carlson, her 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special brother in law Jim Carlson. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Ida and Ed Speed; her husband of 47 years Donald (Don) Carlson; a daughter Linda Howard; her sisters Thelma Layman and Berthal Parks; and a special granddaughter Autumn Dawn Mullenbach. Lucille truly and unconditionally loved all of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her sister Thelma Layman. You could always find her in her favorite spot, her kitchen; cooking, drinking coffee and chatting with all her friends and family. Her strong and spunky spirit was not only infectious but also inspiring. This special lady with the heart of gold, mother and grandmother to all who knew her, will be deeply missed. Funeral will follow with Tracy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Norway Cemetery in Norway, IL.
