Kathryn ( Kay ) Mae Leistikow

Kathryn ( Kay ) Mae Leistikow, 96 of Leland, IL. passed away on July 2, 2017 at Presence Mercy Center Aurora, IL. She was born on April 8, 1921 to James and Hilma (Johnson) Carnahan in Chicago, IL. She married Louis W Leistikow on June 9, 1945 in Chicago, IL and was happily married until his passing in October of 1990. Kathryn loved crocheting and knitting, and had won several awards from the Sandwich Fair. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, especially organ and piano, lunches with her lady friends and going to shows. She is survived by her son Thomas (Paula) Leistikow of Leland IL., her 2 grandchildren Paul Barstatis of Waukesha WI., and CWII James (Jennifer Ross) Leistikow of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis 1990, a son James Louis Lestikow in 1961, and a sister Ruth L. Henderson. Visitation will on July 9, 2017 at Beverage family Funeral Home from 3:00-7:00p.m. and an hour visitation prior to funeral service on Monday at the Bethany Lutheran Church Leland IL.. Funeral service will be Monday July 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church Leland, IL with Reverend Zach Baer officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst IL.
