Barbara Jean Anthenat

Barbara Jean Anthenat, 76, passed away Friday, March 4, 2017. She was born September 14, 1940 in Adams Twp. To the late Earl and Gladys ( Jensen ) Anthenat. Graduated from Sandwich High School in 1958. Worked for New Idea in Sandwich for many years and retired from Aurora Housing Authority after many years of service. She was an avid reader, and collector of Elvis memorabilia, Precious Moments Figurines, and Native American memorabilia, and enjoyed crocheting She loved to travel in her earlier years for two weeks every summer with her best friends. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews. She was kind hearted and generous. Barbara loved the Sandwich Fair and never missed a year even before she was born. She is survived by her sister, Kathy(Jim) Brewer, and brothers, Phillip Anthenat, Ronald(Ruth)Anthenat, Steve Anthenat, and Kerry(Sheri)Anthenat, and nieces and nephews, James(Renee)Brewer, Douglas(Elaine)Brewer, Brian(Stephanie)Brewer, Glenda(Ted)Shick, Jennifer(Dave)Coe, Jeffrey(Kelly)Anthenat, Joseph(Barbara)Anthenat, Trisha(Carl)Ithal, Brittney Anthenat, Erin Anthenat, and Matthew Anthenat, and many great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Earl and Gladys(Jensen) Anthenat, and sister-in-law Judy Anthenat. Services will be at Beverage Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. Thursday March 9th 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery Sandwich, IL Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8th, 4 till 7 pm at the funeral home.
