Richard David Heriaud

Richard David Heriaud 90, of Sandwich, IL. passed away at Presence Mercy Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 6, 1926 in Sandwich IL. to Marsley and Lucille (Biertz) Heriaud. He married Helen Heintzelman on September 24, 1955 in Somonauk, and spent the next 61 years happily married. He worked at CTS Knights and Thor Power Tool. Graduating from Somonauk High School in 1946 he was part of the Somonauk Basketball team that went downstate in 1945. He was a member of the area Civil Defense Team; He was involved in his Church serving as an Awana Leader, usher, trustee, and on the church Mission Board. He was a bowler and bowled for many years in Sandwich. He is survived by his wife, Helen, his daughters, Debbie (Lynn Hoffman) Fallinske of Sandwich, and Cheri Wilkinson of Prairie Village KS., his grandchildren; Robbie Fallinske of Aurora CO., Taylor( Taylor Jeter) Fallinske of Sheridan, IL., Jenna (Matt) Paulsen of Littleton CO., Nathan (Liss) Wilkinson of Denver CO., and Sarah Ann Wilkinson of Dekalb, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brother, Robert, Donald and William, and two sisters, Evelyn Ferris and a sister in infancy. Services for Richard will be January 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Church in Sandwich with Pastor Joe McDonald officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the church.
