Donald ( Smitty ) Samuel Smith

Donald Samuel ( Smitty ) Smith 76 of Ashton passed away December 16, 2016 at Kewanee Care Nursing Home Kewanee, IL. He was born on May 7, 1940 in Shabbona IL to Grant and Olive Smith. Don enjoyed fishing, playing pool and when he was younger was a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion. He worked and retired from the City of DeKalb working in the street Dept. He is survived by his children Larry Smith, Dianna ( Louis ) Sterling, Donald D. ( Mary ) Smith and Johnny ( Jan ) Smith. He is also survived by several grand and great grandchildren along with several cousins nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother’s and sisters.
