Jason Alan Smith

Jason Smith 30, of Rochelle, IL passed away on December 10, 2016 at his home. He was born August 2, 1986 in Rochelle, IL to Jimmy Smith and Janie Frias. He is survived by his Fiancé Zoë Hamilton and their son Grayson, Mother Janie, Father Jimmy, Step Mother Donna and brother Michael Smith and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Jason is preceded in death by his brother David Smith. Jason bravely served our country for 9 years in the United States Army. He was medically retired with an Honorable discharge in 2013 after being injured in combat. When he was younger he enjoyed drawing and writing stories. He has always has a passion for animals. He was known for his kind heart and funny spirit. He had an ability to make everyone laugh with his witty sense of humor. His love for his son was undeniable. He loved to make him smile and laugh. Memorial service with Military Honors will be held at Calvary Light House Church 14409 E. Hemstock Rd. Rochelle Tuesday December 20th at 10am.
