Patricia Ann Maupin

Patricia Ann Maupin, age 76, of Plano, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at Presence Mercy Hospital in Aurora. She was born May 4, 1940 in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Leona (Wittkopp) and William Hipke, and she was the fourth of five children. She was married to Neil Maupin for 44 years. She has two daughters, Jennifer (Anthony) Stoeger and Amy (Anthony) Curtis; a stepdaughter Virginia (Andrew) Kapral; and a stepson Taylor Maupin. She has eight grandchildren, Joshua (Sarah) Marshall, August Kapral, Melody Kapral, Rebecca Kapral, Dylan Klatt, Tyler Stoeger, Zachary Stoeger, and Katelyn Curtis. Patricia spent over 10 years as a neonatal nurse working at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Patricia was very involved with her church and among other interests, enjoyed weaving, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Frederick Jones; two brothers, Donald Hipke and David Hipke; one sister, Lila Hipke; and her stepdaughter-in-law Laura Maupin. She is survived by her husband, Neil; her children; her grandchildren; her brother Robert Hipke; and nephew James Hipke; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by the Beverage Family Funeral Home of Sandwich, Illinois. There will be a visitation at The United Methodist Church of Plano in Plano, Illinois on October 1, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a funeral service officiated by Pastor Stevan Saunders beginning at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to The United Methodist Church of Plano, or to a charity of the giver’s choice.
