Janet Theresa Merchant-Pope

Janet Theresa (Merchant) Pope 67 of Sandwich, passed away on July 2, 2016 at Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora, IL. She was born on January 3, 1949 to William and Ruth (Erwin) Merchant in Sandwich Illinois. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, loved playing bingo with her friends at the Manor, and loved going out with friends especially to Golden Corral. She is survived by her 2 brother William ( Jeanne ) Merchant of Overland Park, Kansas, Edward Miller of Watseka, IL., her step children Daniel Pope, David ( Denna ) Pope and Kelly ( David ) House her friend Betty Parkins and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Pope who passed away in July of 2015, her sister Mary Louise Schnelle, her brother Harold Eugene Merchant, an infant sister Lori Wogman, and brother Mark Lee Singer. A Memorial service will be held July 22nd 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church ( Governor Beveridge HWY at Chicago Rd. Somonauk, IL. ) Reverend Steve Roger officiating.
