Russell John Keenan Sr.

Russell J. Keenan Sr. 76 of Plano passed away on February 16, 2016 at Willow Crest Nursing pavilion. Russell was born to Russell E Keenan and the former Jeanette Lallemang on November 2, 1939 in Sandwich Illinois. Russell attended Sandwich schools, graduating in 1957. Mr. Keenan was employed for 32 years with Caterpillar in Aurora, IL. as an inspector. He retired in 1992 and went to work with the Kendall County Health Department for 6 years. Russell was a Member of The Loyal Order of the Moose in Sandwich for over 40 years. Russell was a loyal Cubs fan for his entire life. He coached Little League and Pony League baseball in Plano for many years. Russell truly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren partake in many sporting events. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Patricia, his daughter Susan (Vince) Olson of Sandwich, his sons; Russell Keenan Jr of Plano, IL. and Roger Keenan of Hinckley , IL and his daughter in-law Sue Keenan his 3 stepsons; Mike (Toni) McNanna of Florida, Mark (Diane) McNanna of Hinckley, IL. and Gary (Chris) McNanna of Millbrook, IL., his grandchildren; Jessica, Lindsey, Jennifer, Kali, Julie, Erin, Ryan, Lauren, Melissa, Mitch, Zachary, Meaghan, and Matthew., 3 great grandchildren Aiden, Liam, and Emerson Wold and Aiden McNanna; 2 sisters Patricia Erickson of North Aurora, and Delight (Donald) Rissman of Aurora, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Douglas Keenan. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 20 2016, at the Beverage Family Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Derrick Johnsen officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
