Dorothy Murial Francis

Dorothy Muriel Francis 94, of Sandwich passed away at Willow Crest Nursing Home on October 30, 2015. She was born on August 24, 1921 in Ottawa Illinois to Fredrick and Gladys (Seward) Spence. She married David Francis on June 22, 1940 in Ottawa Illinois and happily spent the next 54 years together until his passing in 1994. She lived a long feisty life. She loved old movies, her precious cats, loved smoking, drinking diet Pepsi, eating potato chips, and drinking coffee. She loved her rocking chair and people watching, but most of all she loved her grandchildren great grandchildren, her nieces and her nephews. She is survived her son William (Marty) Francis of Sandwich, and her grandchildren Jay Francis of Sycamore, and Jacqueline (Thomas) Brencic of San Leandro CA. Great grandchildren Jacob and Jordan and sister in law Angie Spence. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Anthony Francis who passed away in 1994, her sons, Ronald Francis in 1966, and James Francis in 2000, her sister Shirley Nickle and a brother John and William. Funeral service for Dorothy will be Thursday November 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
