Curtis Allen Miller Sr. 70, of Ashton passed away June 1, 2015 at KSB Hospital Dixon, IL. He was born on September 14, 1944 in Rockford, IL. He married his sweet heart Sharon Corey on December 17, 1967 in Rockford, IL. Curtis and Sharon moved to Ashton, where they raised five children and resided for the last 40 years. Curtis served his country with the US Army from 1966-1969, and later volunteered as a fire fighter with the Ashton Fire Department for a short time. He has since enjoyed his career at Greenlee Textron as a machinist for 38 years, and for a past time visited annual car swap meets, classic car shows, and movies with the grand kids. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of Ashton, daughter Lori (Kevin) Kemmerer of West Brooklyn. 4 sons; Curtis ( Lori ) Miller Jr., Scott ( Teresa ) Miller all from Dixon, Christopher Miller of Ashton and Danny ( Faith ) Miller of Ackley, IA. 11 grandchildren; McKayla Harvey, Colby Kemmerer, Tyler ( Deidre ) Miller, Katie Miller, Brittany Fore, Kelsey Miller, Logan Miller, Lauren Miller, Devon Miller and Breyden Miller. 2 great grandchildren; Lily Fore and Malachi Harvey. Sister Frances DeRoboam of Moline and a brother Clifford ( Kathleen ) Miller of AR He is preceded in death by his mother Leona Miller, sister Bertha Gitchel and his grandson Cody Scott Miller. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home 601 Richardson Ave Ashton, IL. Rev. Farrell Stauffer officiating. Interment to follow at Ashton Cemetery with Military Honor from East Lee-Ogle VFW. Visitation will be Friday June 5, 2015 from 4-7 at the funeral home. www.beveragelyonsfamilyfh.com
