Allen Berg Sr.

Allen Leonard Berg Sr.76 of Sandwich passed away on May 30 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 7, 1939 to Albert and Alyce (Larsen) Berg in Joliet IL. He met and married Julia Gunderson on December 26 1956 in Kankakee IL. and spent the next 58 years happily married. Al was a truck driver all of his whole life owning his own truck and later retiring from ABF in Orlando FL. He was an avid golfer and lover of classic cars, having own 3 Studebakers; the Golden Hawk, a Avanti, and a Silver Hawk. He also owned a 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 and still owns a 1967 442 Oldsmobile. He is survived by his wife Julia of Sandwich, his children: Christine (Mike) Vlanowski, Elaine (Bill) Ruzon, Julia Beth (Cory) Villanova, Allen (Janice) Berg Jr., and David (Allison) Berg; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 1 brother, Fred (Margareta) Berg, 2 sisters ;Adrienne Carlson, and Laurie (Frank) Paputos. He was preceded in death by his parents a 1 brother Albert (Butchie) Berg. Memorial services will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sandwich on June 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor David Kaul officiating.
