Charles Marrs

Charles Marrs 92, of Wheeler Run, Alma, WV departed this life Thursday May 21, 2015 in Sistersville Center. He was born February 24, 1923 in Sandwich, IL a son of the late Alamanza and Bessie Welden Marrs. Charles graduated from Purdue University. He was a retired mechanical engineer having worked 38 years for Westinghouse. He was a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Toastmaster International. He was a US Army Air Force Veteran and a protestant . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Susan Osborne. Twin brothers Edward and Howard Marrs and a sister Mary. Charles is survived by his wife Virginia Hughes Marrs. A son Stephen Marrs, Vicksburg, MS and a daughter Julie Rosales, Randallstown, MD. A brother Art Marrs of Wisconsin and a sister Florence Sebby of Sandwich, IL. There are 4 grandchildren. Graveside service will be held June 1st, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Oak Ridge Cemetery .www.beveragefamilyfh.com
