Ruby Jean Knotts

Ruby Jean Knotts, 71 of Somonauk, IL. passed away at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 25, 1943 in Union County Mississippi to Hoyt and Isem Marie (Chism) Cappleman. She was a great cook, loved to scrapbook, crochet and read the Bible with the Bible study ladies at the church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children; Carol (Mike) Overly of Somonauk, IL., Susan (Marty) Gibbs of Lake Thunderbird, IL., and Tom Jr. (Dena) Knotts of Ocala FL., her grandchildren; Chris Shaffer, Nichole Overly, Christina and Marty Gibbs, Jennifer (Troy) Esaparza, and Sarah and Zack Knotts., one brother, Jimmy Dale Cappleman of Freeport LA., and two sisters, Brenda Medline of Aurora, IL., and Anna (Richard) Burnett of TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom in October 2006, two sisters; Eva Richardson and Karen Stepp, a brother James Cappleman and a grandson Jordan Knotts. Funeral Services for Ruby will be February 16, 2015 at the Somonauk Baptist Church in Somonauk at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery Somonauk, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the church.
