Tom Edward Allen

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Tom Edward Allen, 51, of Sandwich, IL. He passed away in the early afternoon of Friday January 16, 2015 after a brave battle with cancer. He was in Harrisburg doing what he loved most and enjoying the late season hunting with some family. He was a veteran of the US Army. His big heart, devotion, and inspirational presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Tom leaves behind his mother Betty Ann Allen(Wayne Frieble) of Aurora, 2 sisters Brenda Lee Austin(Jim Austin) of Earlville, Vicki Land(Dave Abbott) of Troy Grove, 2 nieces Felicia Amelia Allen(Dave Coppes) of Yorkville, Schyler Land ofMendota, 4 nephews, Jeremy Scott Farley(Tammy Triplet) of Sheperdsville Kentucky, Chad Land of Rockford, Brandon Land of Sandwich, and Bradley Land of Florida. Tom also left behind great and great great nieces, many Aunts, Cousins, brothers and sisters at heart, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Paul Edward Allen and his loving cat Busch. The wake will be held at Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL on Jan, 23, 2014 from 4-7 with a service to follow directly after. In lieu of flowers the family is asking to make donations to the mother Betty Allen to help with funeral costs.
